Today decided to make a algae scrubber

I doubt the tube at the end of the screen will be necessary and may make it harder to clean. Otherwise it looks good.

Par 38 phillips flood 5000k daylight,i used gutter guard for the screen i would not stay straight, maybe i cut it off later

What pump did you use? How much flow?

I've not seen people using the gutter guard. I suppose it will work. Did you rough it up as most do with the plastic canvas sheet that most use? Gutter guard is much more stiff and it's a bit rounded (meaning the mesh is made to look more like wire fence as apposed to flat like the plastic canvas) so I imagine it's more difficult to do?
