Does anyone know why this happened, I don’t have any stony coral growth in my tank yet. I added a lot of stony Corals but nothing changed. It went from 9.9 to 6.7, none of the stony stuff is growing yet. The Hanna test I have said 6.1 an salifert said 6.7, how can I fix this? I haven’t done a water change this week yet. so that partially could be why it’s so low I have all for reef but I haven’t dosed it yet

Doing some reading, nitrate spikes and am drops are correlated? Cause I had a couple snails die

How old is the tank? Calcium carbonate can precipitate onto the rock and sand if it's newish. Especially at higher alkalinity.

I don’t know exactly, rocks are from a mature tank, I moved it to my place like a week and half ago. I assume it was a few months old when it started

3 dKHin a weak is fairly low demand. Coralline algae alone can do more than that. Do you have coralline growth?
