Alk?

So I been having problem with alk dropping. I did WC on wensday all was at 7.3 checked again today and alk is at 6.7. no a big drop but is my tank stocked enough to be using up that much alk and what is best to use to bring up?

Now do i have to dose it everyday manually doing it or just test and see. I am not very book smart when it comes to this stuff so I guess maybe youtube

Alk consumption is generally not catagorized as a problem. And at .6dkh over 4 days isnt too bad of a consumption.
To answer your question, you can hand dose but if you dont feel like dosing small amounts throughout the day, daily, youll want to incorperate a doser.
Regardless if dosing by hand or with a doser, youll still use the same calculator to figure your needed daily dosage for your consumption.

That’s a very small daily drop. Any tank can consume that much.

A few times a week manual dosing will be fine in your case.

To add a bit to what others said on the thread, the picture of your tank shows quite a bit of coralline algae on the back glass, and what appears to be a tridacna clam as well as several varieties of LPS. Tridacna clams can be relatively prodigious users of calcium and alkalinity from the water, and combined with your other creatures, I'm actually somewhat surprised that your tank is using as little alkalinity as you note. 1 dKH per day isn't at all unusual for a well-stocked tank with corals that are healthy and growing.
