Alligator Lizard and cats

So my cat is obsessed with Alligator Lizards and usually takes their tale and maybe worse, I have saved the same AL at least 5 times in the last two days, he hangs around the same area, so my question is.
Do you have nest and can she be tending to the nest or babies?
Is the reason why the AL does not move to another location?
Maybe I could simply move the AL to somewhere else.
Any thoughts or suggestion will be appreciated.
