Alright what am I doing wrong

So starting setting up my profilux 4 and doser it works fine with USB but I'm failing to get wifi running I tried all three ways I can ping and get all 4 sent and replied samples . My router can see the profilux and the profilux has a solid green light . But I get a msg on gcc that it's not on the network? I tried to type the address directly into Google can't find it that way either . I did the firmware updates for the pro and the wifi still no luck any ideas ?

I've had to restart my p4 and router a couple times when making new connection. Are you using static ip? Are you sure it's different and not being used by anything else? I would guess if you're getting 4 sent, 4 recieved it would be good to go. Try a hard restart on p4 and router?

I did the restart like 4 times just won't go it is the only one on my router with that up address I have never had so much issue getting something on my network thanks for the reply wwIII !

Not sure its the same, but I had connection issue with the latest GCC with my Profilux 3. I ended going back 1 version on GCC and connection was solid. I just setup my Profilux 4 yesterday and it connected fine wireless. Your green light should be blinking to show its active (sending/receiving). Maybe try an earlier version GCC to see if that help.

Are you Doing DHCP, or a Static IP Address:

My setup is below

SSID is my Wireless Network (Removed)
WifiKey is the password to my wireless network (Removed)

My firmware for the pro4 is 7.11 the firmware for the wifi module is 6589 if I try to access over the web it ask me for a password and username

@Wingizzmo - On your connections setting panel inside GCC:

Unchecked Search Automatically and place the IP Address 192.168.1.103

On Your Network Settings of your P4, if you plan to use Email Notifications, and our the MYGHL DNS is required, place 4.2.2.1 on your DNS for your p4.

I assume since your being asked the username and password from the web your able to sign onto the P4 through your web browser.

Oh and I input the address and even though I hit save diconect it keeps going back to auto and changes the ip address

Ok, we will figure this out :)

Run GCC as an administrator. (Right click on the program and select run as administrator)

Create a new P4 and edit the connection to make sure it is a IP address and not Auto.

If that does now work remove the settings for access point mode and select WiFi modus (infrastructure) inside the P4.

Make sure you restart the P4 and then try to connect again.

If that still does not work, which I may not, because I did have an issue with my windows 10 surface laptop not connecting Via the GCC desktop software until I added it to the allowed apps and feature in windows firewall.

Start menu click settings, type in firewall in the find a settings search box
Click windows firewall in the search results click on allow an app or feature through windows firewall.
Once the allowed apps window pops up
Click change settings
Click now allow another program
Browse the the gcc executable
And click private and public
Click ok

And then try the gcc desktop app and see if it connects.

@Wingizzmo - whooohoo your welcome glad it now working for you.

No idea why the firewall setting needed to be done but the funny part is even after you upgrade the GCC software you will not have to adjust the setting in windows firewall for the next version of GCC. It seems you set it once and windows going forward allows all versions of the GCC desktop app to use the port.

That's cool now I have to figure out why when I discontent from GCC windows thinks the app stopped unexpectedly and restarts it and I have to close it a second time got to love computers lol

Side note - anyone else having the connect app crash when they hit feed mode on this latest version?
