Alveopora?

So, anyone know what this is? Thought at first it was a long polyp monti, but after seeing the length of the polyps, I'm not so sure,,, My LFS had it under "astreopora" but, really? Don't think so. Only reason it wouldn't be alveopora is due to the extroverted polyps-- this coral is totally photosynthetic, does not 'eat.' Also, polyps have 12 tentacles each--magic number for alvis.

If it helps, it most likely hasn't been widely seen for 15 to 20 years cause apparently the owner got a huge chunk in like 20 years ago and has been growin them ever since. Originally came from Sri Lanka, but the specific place he got his chunk from is now off limits, closed to the general public and people not on research groups and whatnot.

Twelve tentacles is Alevopora. It certainly is an unusual piece and very pretty.

That it is, but does that really mean it's alveopora? Definitely related, just don't know any other genus related to alveopora or goniopora.

No, there were tentacles underneath~
I am pretty sure there are around 14 tentacles each.
