Amazon metal halide bulbs

Hi, I rarely post anything anymore. But for the seven people that still use metal halide ( including me ). Don't bother with the amazon metal halide bulbs from China. I couldn't find new replacements for my old Pheonix and Hamilton bulbs so I bought a bunch of the 14k and 20k in 250w. They might look fine to the eye. But first they last between 2 days and a few months. Exploding or just not lighting. Next. The 20k's look purplish to the eye. I thought nice, heavy in the 400nm - 430nm. Not exactly. I checked with a spectrometer. It's purple because it has lots of red peaks and a strong 450nm / 420nm. But compared to quality bulbs, much , much more red. I am expecting more lights from aqua brite solutions next week in the 20k. I have a 14k that works well but is a tad too yellow for my taste. So if I have time I'll show a back to back aqua brite 20k vs amazon 20k. I expect the spectral plot of aqua brite to be more appropriate for coral health.

Radiums are in stock, and yes many China bulbs are not a good spectral fit for reefing.
