can I add stability for ammonia spikes? Or do I go about that a different way?
Once a tank is cycled you should never have an ammonia issue again. If you do, fish died and were left in the tank. If talking in a QT, make sure it doesn't interact with meds.

Can you tell us a little more about your tank please. How old is your tank? Have you measured your ammonia? Are you suddenly having an ammonia spike in an established tank, or are you asking how to dose ammonia to first get a new tank's nitrogen cycle going?

The tank is fully cycled and it’s about 2 months old and the levels are 0.2ppm
Guessing API test? It's a false positive if so. It takes a fatality for any ammonia to measure in a tank.
