I had this anemone for about 5 months.. it grew quiet large... I didn’t really have to spot feed because the lights are pretty strong.. you can see the before and after picture (different angle but.. he’s gotten bigger like 3x..)

I’m noticing that I can see his mouth well and he’s not as “chunky”? Not sure if this is a sign that he’s dying...

I don’t really want to spot feed because he’s growing way too big.. any suggestion on how to keep him healthy.. while.. not growing any larger...

It looks as though it might be splitting. Spot feed it once to see if it will eat. If it does you know it is healthy enough to eat. :)

Is this considered “gasping” mouth...
my friends think he’s doing fine but I just feel like he’s less “chunky” and deflated...
idkkkk what to do!!

Doh.. I tried feeding it.. doesn’t really take it.
my lights used to be mostly white until cyano took over the tank.. so reduced the intensity and changed mostly to blue..
Not sure if seabae anemone are different from bubbles tips? My other anemones are doing well but also this seabae anemone is.. monstrous

The brown tint indicates the presence of zooxanthellae, so it looks like it's getting enough light. What kind of lighting are you using and how long are they on?

Do you have any photos of when it's deflated? All of the photos I see show an anemone that's relatively healthy.

This is now but I guess I might be used to the smaller one when it was plump everywhere?
Not sure if it’s normal to see all the skin area (not covered in legs). I used to not be able to see the mouth area as much Bc the legs/tentacles used to be a lot more plump..

Currently running 12 hours of lights using Kessil lights (my other anemone are plump and well - but they are not a seabae anemone..)

It looks to be pretty healthy to me. When the Anemone is not inflated all of the tentacles are close together and hide the "skin". A healthy anemone will inflate as yours has to make the most use of the available light. When it is inflated like that the tentacles are further apart and more flesh is seen.

I am going to call on #OrionN. He is the anemone Guru and can help verify the health of your nem.
