Today I was working with a rock, trying to propogate some ricordea Yuma’s with a razor blade. Unfortunately, I slipped and my blade gashed my hand and cut a rock flower nem from RAP that found its way to the rock. My blade hit near the middle of the column, and from what I can remember, was close to a centimeter in length and half a centimeter deep. The nem is about an inch and a half in diameter when opened, right now it’s pretty closed up. It has expelled a bit of flesh. Here are some pictures, and I apologize if they are not great, but I hope I explained well enough that you guys understand. Thanks!

Thanks, you know whether or not dips and the like can help? I’ve had a couple bubble tips replenish their health from torn feet, but I have little experience with cuts to the column.

You could try keeping it in cipro water until it heals to keep bacteria off it.

Alright, thanks for all the help guys. Last question: is blood bad for stuff? I have particularly high amounts of iron in mine, so... water change?

Well, he has been opened up fairly normally for the last day or so, other than keeping one fold closer to its mouth than the other four. I think it’s safe to assume he can recover. I’ve done a light dusting with some Koral MD solution (because I had it on hand and it couldn’t hurt much), and he closed up briefly then opened wider than before.
So, all in all, pretty great. Thanks again, guys!
