What kinda anemone is this? I was told it’s a Reef Raft Flame Tip Anemone. Or a RRC flame tip nem for short. It has streaks through the tentacles and it was acclimated with other nems all in the same tank touching each other. It sits with my rainbow in a nem basket.

Looks more like Chicago sun burst than a flame tip. All comes down to linage and where you bought from though

Rainbow bubble tip anemone
the last picture is a rainbow on the left, the right is the picture of the ‘flame tip’. I don’t think rainbows have any marbling. It’s tips aren’t pink/red either.

that’s what I figured it was a Chicago sunburst. I’m not sure how much marbling is in the foot if any. At a recent Reef show it was either a Colorado or this bad boy, same price so I went with this. It was purchased from RRC, as far as lineage.

This is what a flame tip should look like. I would say yours is a Chicago IMO

Yeah it looks like that just with marbling in it’s tentacles lol but none in its foot.

I paid $850 for it at a recent Reef show. It was either this or a Colorado and I hadn’t seen this one before. I’ll try and get some better pictures today :)
