Anemone split. Extra peice of foot?

My anemone split over the weekend and I noticed today they as a 1/2 inch extra peice of foot that is attached to the rock that is not attached to either anemone... will this peice of foot need to be removed or should I see if it manages to grow to a complete anemone?

After checking again a bit later looks like there are some tentacles coming out of the little split! Hopefully it'll heal up nicely. Never had a bubble tip split into 3 before pretty neat.

You can barely see the tentacles in the picture.
