Anenome ID and advice please

Please see photo. My LFS has this anenome for $100. About the size of a grapefruit.

My tank is 36 gallon with quite a few corals. Mainly Zoas and softies. I also have a small approx 3 inch bubble tip anenome already. Would this be a foolish purchase? Can anyone tell me what type this is ?

Looks like a ~~Radianthus magnifica~~ ~~(also called Heteractis magnifica or~~ ~~Radianthus ritteri) to me~~. Edit: It's a long tentacle (Radianthus doreensis) apparently. Let's hope it's not too weak to attach to something with its foot or it will start drifting around in the current and end up in a pump.

Would it be a good addition to my tank? I would love for my clown fish to host with it.

They can get quite large, but your clowns should be very much fine with it.

Would you put low in tank or do the like more light and high flow?

A Bubble Tip Anemone is always a great one to start with as they are very hearty and usually tank bread.

I'm afraid it will pick "the right place" without you having a choice

It will walk around until it finds a decent spot if it isn't too weak to attach or walk at all. Let's just hope it doesn't kill any other corals on the way.

That’s a long tentacle. Pretty easy to care IMO but they sand dwelling anemones and can get quite large. That one is bleached so it would take some time to recover

Yes, this is a long tentacle and not a Magnifica. It's bleached, and when it recovers will be a very strong fuschia color. As James said, they are sand dwellers and like to be able to bury themselves a few inches under the sand. They play nice with BTAs in my experience (unless they're directly in contact of course) and are my favorite nems, but they can get pretty big and can be difficult to unbleach. I'd say give it a shot if you think the process is worth it, but do some research on the process first.
