Hi folks,

I've noticed a few tips on some of my Acropora have been taken down to the skeleton, and I'm wondering if it might be my Pygoplites Diacanthus - but I don't know what Angel nipping looks like on SPS.

Can anyone shed any light on what I should be looking out for?

I can't contribute the issues to my lights burning tips as nothing's changed in that regard, Alk is rock solid at 7dkh, nutrients are undetectable due to ZEOvit so it's all in all pretty stable, and it's only effecting some tips of some Acros, not all the tips on the same coral.

Help?!

Don't think there is a specific eating pattern that is a tale tell sign for angel nipping. Need to see it in person to know the cause, I think.

Any Angel in a reef tank can be iffy, but my Regal doesn't eat any on my SPS. Or any of the other Regal's I've had. Mine my nip, or take a taste, but doesn't eat them. The biggest indicator of SPS nipping is lack of PE. Now my Scoly's are a different story:rolleyes: JME
