have a waterbox 65 aio, about 4-5 months in. good CUC. 2 clowns, wrasse and a small blue tang. have a few zoas and a torch do cleanings every weekend, water changes every 4 months. towards the end of the week I have tons of algae growth on the rocks and front and rear glass I use filter floss material in the rear baffle of the Aio and maybe I need to change it more than once a week but am I doing something wrong? do I need a protein skimmer? or is this part of the process on an newer tank

parameters
nitrate 0 phosphate 0.25 ammonia 2

I use filter floss and chemi pure

More frequent water changes. If only 4 fish is creating an algae issue, review your feeding and filtration. Manual removal helps, increasing the algae grazers helps. I get the impression the husbandry is not adequate if you do water change only every 4 months. Why do you have ammonia of 2?

What are you testing your parameters with? If it’s api I would toss them and get better test (salifert, Hanna, or redsea)
I would do more frequent water changes. Starting doing weekly water changes of 15-20% to help reduce algae growth.
What do you have as part of your CUC?
