No need for foam… just get it flat as possible on the trim around the base and enjoy.

I do agree!

In fact, some manufacturers have big warning stickers on their rimmed tanks telling one to avoid using foam under them!

Foam’s for rimless tanks, where there would otherwise be glass pressing directly against the stand top!

This has always been my understanding too. Thanks, guys!
