Hi all!

Mike Delgado is going to be the grower for another group growout of the 11 Japanese zoas plus a bonus from tomasz. Mike lives in Salado, Texas. I have bought zoas from him before and I have some more from him coming in next Tuesday. I will be the coordinator for this group.

There are 10 spots. I'll add people to the group according to the day and time they post to this thread or PM me. I'll also keep some backup spots. As soon as the 10 spots are filled, $25.75 will need to be sent to tomasz. I'll send a PM to all members to send money. Money will need to be sent within 3 days. We'll do 3 polyps per each type of zoa per member and you will need to pay Mike for shipping when your frags are ready.

5. jerryc
6. Taikun
7. davidr2340
8. Kalmedswife
9. Luck_of_the_Draw
10. str8salt

This is a link to the zoas. We will be getting 11 frags plus a bonus.

Growout rules

Here are the rules that were forwarded to me.

Rules of Participation
1. Limit of 10 people per frag (those who already indicated they are interested have first crack (limit of 5 initial choices) ~ after that it opens up to anyone else who wants in).
2. No one gets a frag until there are enough polyps for everyone to receive their frag (that means the original frag has to grow to 36 polyps)
3. Grower and Planner each receive their frag for free
4. Everyone pays final shipping costs over and above initial costs to receive their frag
5. Each individual who receives a frag agrees to continue to grow and frag their zoa and offer it on this forum for the same cost per polyp that they originally paid.

Conditions of Participation
1. Everyone who participates understands that it could be a year or more before they receive their frag.
2. Everyone who participates understands they could lose their initial investment as a result of unforseen circumstances (tank crashes, shipping error, etc.) and agrees not to hold planner or grower or Reef2Reef.com responsible for their lose
3. Everyone who participates understands that the zoa colony may morph as a result of tank conditions and that the frag they receive may not resemble the original frag that was purchased.

zoa growout

tomasz has excellant corals. I picked up some of his frags at the MarineLife Aquarium Society of Michigan (MASM) fragfest last fall. Very happy with what I received.

I'm a little confused. So, if I want to try it, I pay $25 now and wait a year or more to see if I get frags? Or do I get some right away to grow out?

Nope, you pay the $25 now, and wait to receive your frags. The last growout I was in took about 9 months for everyone to get their frags. It is a risk, as you may end up with nothing - I've lost out on two growouts I entered - but look at the return, if you get everything you pay for. To me, its worth a little risk.

why did my post get deleted? I want in.
Sorry but I let everyone in on what type of person you are and the mods...
kidding. So your post was deleted? that is odd. Are you sure you posted on this one and not the other grow out?

I didn't see it on the other one. Can't understand why it would have disappeared.
If anyone needs to know Chris is a local and if it means anything I can vouch for him. I see him almost every day. A good buddy of mine. Upright and always generous.
Lord, I hope this doesn't ruin my rep vouching for him.

Been there and yes, expensive for what they have. Better to get high end zoas from here. I like to try and talk the member here into selling me a few polyps here and there. Kind of lost faith in that place. Aquacultured is the way to go now. Much hardier than wild collected. Plus chances of nudis, sundials and the like are less expected.
