Greetings, all! I am new to this SW / Reef hobby. Promise not to bore you with too many questions, I hope.

Just starting my first reef tank ever. Red Sea Max 130D. At this time, three weeks in, all I have is some live rock and three chromis... taking it slow, despite the kids anxiousness. More soon, likely this will be only a soft coral tank. But, we'll see...

My wife, god bless her, was looking through a reef magazine and said "you're gonna need a bigger tank soon!" Where's the restraint?

Welcome to R2R...we would love to see a pics of your setup...no matter what it looks like...we all had to start somewhere.

Your wife has no idea how bad the bug will bite you...LOL

Oh! 3 weeks in and she already says you will need to upgrade...I LOVE her....:bigsmile:...Mine wants to kill me sometimes...:bigsmile:

Wife on board = BIG+++++++

if she only knew how much i spend on coral alone she would flip!..lol

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome - as others said, if the wife is on board, you are in trouble!

If yours only wants to kill you sometimes, you're one of the lucky ones!

Welcome to R2R! We love to help new hobbyist and please ask as many questions as you need to. :D

+1 on the wife being on board - as the girlfriend I'll vouche for that. My boyfriend and I have put nearly everything into our tanks, we have a 90 reef, 175 FOWLR, 265 reef, frag tanks, freshwater tanks. I like to say that I'm a good infuence and keep him on track, but I'm definitely the one whispering in his ear "OOh look that one! we need that! oh and that one too!" :D

and welcome to the hobby!
