Another reason Emperor Angels are cool

Got this guy about 9-10 months ago as a 2 inch juvenile. So I got to see him go through his color changes. When he gets fed or startled he grunts and makes enough noise you can hear him across the room. Today I took a rock from one of my smaller tanks that was covered in aiptasia and swapped it with one from the FOWLR. I do this not only to clean up the small tank, but because the Raccoon Butterfly in the FOWLR LOVES the aiptasia. Anyway not only was the Raccoon eating the aiptasia, the Emperor was chowing down on them too!

Has he become the dominant fish in the tank. I'm surprised how fast he changed, and at that size. I've never seen an emporer less than 4=5" sporting adult coloration. I had one 4=5" take well over a year to fully change.

Yes, he is the boss, but not in a bad way. He will chase and grunt at the other fish, but never bites them. Even when he started the change, he was bigger than the Adults in the LFS. I guess thats what a good diet does.
