Another what to Pair with Clownfish thread

Yes, I can google..... But I would like some feedback on what to pair with my pair of ocellaris clowns.

We had a 6 line, who turned evil after 3 months. We decided to take him back so he could go into a bigger tank.

The tank is a softies/lps mix. It’s only 17gal (24x12x15)ish and has an open top. Really liked how active the wrasse was but just so small of a tank for him.

A 17g is kind of small, especially once the clowns mature. Something like a watchman goby/shrimp pr would work.

Very likely. Even the clowns can jump, so getting a top would be a very good idea.

Yup, some kind of top is best if you don't want a fish to go carpet or floor surfing. All fish have the potential to jump. For the 17 gallon tank you could also look into a Possum/Pygmy Wrasse:
