Another 'why are my euphyllias bailing out' question.

I already pulled that one, but the pink stuff didn't come off as easily as it looked like it would. I don't think it was any kind of algae or bacteria.

I might email them about that, but I'm pretty confident it's wrong. Since I was expecting something around 5, if they came back with 30 or 50 or even 100, I would have been worried (especially since I have to dose nitrates to get it up to 5). But 600? I feel like I'd be having other problems at that point.
I forgot what they are called, but the little tubes look like some sort of coral skeleton boring worm. They live in the skeleton of the coral and come out to feed. I dont know if they will kill a coral, but euphylia are already easy to irritate and kill, so I can only imagine these are making it worse.
