anthelia and xenia

So a friend of mine gave me a softball size piece of rock that has some brown polyps and blue waving hand anthelia on it...he also gave me a small frag of white xenia, how long normally does it take for the xenia to attach itself to a rock and take its form back?

if it's happy it should attach pretty quickly - like within a week or two.....

Ok cool, i changed my bulbs in my t5 so i could accommodate the corals because i also got some radioactive zoa frags, and brown polyps...the anthelia, the polyps, and the zoas are all up and at it...the zoa arent fully open yet but they are opening up which is a good sign...i was just curious about the xenia because its a beautiful frag and i want to tend to it as best as i can...

I'm glad others really like xenia - I know many consider it a nuisance coral but I really like my xenia - you'll just need to watch it and keep it trimmed because if it's happy in your tank, it can grow pretty quickly and take over - xenia definitely prefers some nutrients in the water (nitrate and phosphate) so if your tank is very low nutrient, the xenia may not like it :)

So basically they dont like the water squeeky clean lol
