I'm wondering if anyone is using the Avast Matey, precision auto feeder. I didn't see any user feedback when I did a search.

It seems like an easy way to spot feed. Right now I'm either getting my hands wet or I'm using a turkey baster. It's a little difficult to get a small dose with the turkey baster. This seems like a good way to ensure everything gets food without overfeeding.

Thoughts?
Thanks

While I personally have never used one. I would trust Avast products. Maybe some people can chime in here!

I appreciate the bump.

I just got one of these. I'm using it to target feed small pellets (TDO x-small) into an acclimation box for a new arrival. I've only used it a couple times but my first impression is its great! It drops a few pellets at a time, perfect for this application and I think it would also work well for target feeding pellets to LPS corals and shy fishes in their hiding places.

I was just looking at one of these on their site two days ago and wondering if it's worth getting! I certainly don't have luck with turkey basters, which leak half the food before you reach the target, and then spray air bubbles into corals instead of the food.

This works much better than a turkey baster for feeding small pellets! I even bought one of those long thin basters (shown below, it actually has a narrower tube than the Matey) - I do still use that for target feeding frozen brine shrimp and mysis but the Matey works way better for pellets. I'll try it out tomorrow with some larger pellets.
