The O/B is for the reversing valve only in Heat pump applications. You are not running a Heat pump. This is a gas furnace with straight AC.

Actually, your right, I should of paid attention to the pic's with the gas valve.

In this pic your have the red wire on R/ aka run, and the black with on C, aka common.

In this pic its the opposite.

This is exactly how it was set-up before I removed any wires

As you can see I know nothing about any of this. I just figured it was a heat pump because it mentioned heat pump lol. So, there is no need for the O/B, but there is a specific test on the unit for heat pump for some reason

The test for heat pump is solely for your thermostat. the thermostat does not know what type of system you have and are sold somewhat universal. I could tell you how I wire systems i've installed in the past, however there are way too many connections on your furnace for me to account for. W2 is for second stage heat. Y2 is for second stage cooling. Your system seems a bit antiquated to fit this but a quick google of your model number will tell you.

The Lennox information you provided is for the AC coil only. Your furnace will have its own make model and serial

It appears your unit is 2 stage gas furnace with 2 stage cooling. As mentioned though, you need to find your model number for the furnace and the model number of your condenser outside to verify.

That is a 2 stage gas valve so you can program it as 2 stage gas furnace and 2 stage cooling on the thermostat.

The way the wiring is hooked up at the furnace control board appears that you only have one stage of cooling so you may want to verify. Pm me if you need to, I'm a licensed hvac contractor in TX and don't mind helping. Good luck.

So, my dad was an electrical AND mechanical engineer with a focus on HVAC and this was not even a hint in his mind. He also worked HVAC for well over 20 years as a service tech. He developed pumps that saved many big corps a lot of money in energy savings. He never once wanted these devices in his house, even used an old mechanical thermostat that was once top of the line. Our mostly updated 1921 house was always a steady temp except for summer, no A/C as as 2-4 weeks of 90+ was not a big deal.
