Any idea on the ID?

I have never seen anything like it before? The base looks like a shriveled digitale hydroid. Might it be an egg carrying species of polychaete?

I need a better image. May be try white light. If I had to guess I would say Tunicates first, but thats a rough guess.

It appears to be a digitate hydroid now that it is stretched out when lights are out. Strange, as I’ve never seen those ‘eggs’ before.
