Any ideas what this feeder is

Any idea what this could be there are others but it appears to be either apart of the coral or in the skin thank you in advance
 
Yes it's a mariculture it looks like a large polyp hole but the fan expands and retracts into the coral
 
That sounds like classic barnacle behavior.

They're cool cousins of shrimp & crabs, which glue their heads to hard surfaces and spend the rest of their lives kicking food into their mouths with feathery feet.
