Any safe snails, crab clean up crew with a Trigger fish ?

We just adopted one of our favorite fish, a Clown Trigger !
Had one back in the 90's and now can enjoy his wonderful personality !

Are there any,..."clean up crews" that are safe to add to the tank with a Trigger ?

I had a triger before and didn't have any problems with him eating snails or hermits but he did go after shrimp. It is a hit or mis on what they have a taste for.. You might be ok with with snails and hermits but you will not be ok with any type of shrimp

lol,...yeah, we have a Scarlett Blood Shrimp, and she would be a tasty treat for J.R.

Guess I'll move a couple of snails and hermits into this tank and see what happens.

WOW! Great addition Kevin, one of my very favorite fish from past FOWLR system. As stated above my Clown pretty much left hermits and snails alone but did eat a couple Cleaner Shrimp once larger. Is this in Patty's tank ?

We actually bought a 55g set up from a older couple, that the wife's mother is in bad health. She has to drive 250 miles one way, to visit her, so rather than let the tank suffer, she just wanted out after 15 years of reef keeping. Only had one anemone and 3 fish. One is a HUGE Tomato Clown (way too big for his anemone !) A nice yellow tang, Bi colored Blenny and a Blue Tang. We added a Orange Spot Goby and our loved little guy, the Clown Trigger we named Jr., after out first Clown named Bubba, that we had in the 90's. He grew to over 12" but once he had glaucoma, he quit eating and passed away. For Patty, I even had a T-shirt with a photo of him and his name. Na,....we don't love our pats ! lol......
So, we're so happy to have a Clown Trigger again !

ZERO scratches, two VHO's, oak canopy and stand. It's not drilled though, so I just bought a used, but great condition AquaMaxx HOB-1.
The live rock is over 10 years old with a good amount of coralline. Eheim canister filter is great shape, a Red Sea HOB skimmer. Don't know if I'll used either though, maybe sell them or keep for a different tank.
Live sand too. Power heads, glass lids.

She kept it all,...in great shape and clean !
The canopy has a little rot inside, but I plan on sanding &sealing it this winter.

She wanted the animals to go to a good home, so I think after meeting her, she would have just gave it to us, but we gave her $250 anyway.

The plan,...is when we get the 125g set up, we'll transfer it all, but we kind of like it ! lol
The 55g tank being so narrow, their hard to aquascape, so it looks like the "wall" theme. But, if we keep it running, the main corals will be mushrooms and leathers, so it won't look too bad when filled in.
I did want a lot,....of holes for the fish to swim through and places to bed down in.
