Any seafan experts here? Need help.

I got a NPS seafan, it has some sort of strings, isnit shedding like inverts or is it unhealthy? I feed it a mix of red plankton, plankton and rotifers.

Some Gorgonians do shed, much like Sarcophyton/Toadstools. Keeping NPS long term is a daunting endeavor. Some Gorgonians are photosynthetic though.

Thank you.. mine is non photosynthetic.. polyps are white, and since im from india, we dont have photosynthetic gorgs here..

NPS Gorgonains don't usually shed... Can I have the species name or a photo without blues?

It's probably shedding from the algae growth on it. I had both an Photosynthetic and non-photosynthetic that both shed. Just get a Turkey blaster and blow it off of it.
