Any surfers out there?

Don’t wanna brag but I’m gonna anyway..
My son has said that if I pass without us taking an epic surf trip together he could never forgive himself so.....
Late October we will be spending 11 days in the Mentawais & staying at the Kandui Resort!!!
If anybody out there has done this trip, I would welcome any tips!

41 years of surfing here, but never Mentawais, so no input there other than paddle every day at least a couple months prior to be in good shape for it!

Nice! I live in Silver Strand in Oxnard CA. Did a trip there last year along with Bali. Epic wave. Got dragged over the reef once and was out for a day and a half. Heavy, fast barrels..not for a novice. Tube game better be on point.

Surfer from south florida here! Never been to the mentawis but it sounds epic!

I go to Costa Rica every year though!

I’ve done Tavarua and Puerto Rico a few times each. Unreal trips.
