Anybody know anything about these guys? The scientific name is (Bryaninops natans). They seem to go by a bunch of common names like red-eye goby, pink-eye goby, purple-eye goby, and hovering goby. A buddy of mine shot me some pics of these guys and now I'm really curious. Anybody ever seen any in the hobby? Are they available?

Small and cryptic. Similar to a trimma, but tend to be associated with acropora.

They do very rarely come through the wholesalers, but they aren't commonly available and usually in very limited numbers when they are.

LOL I think I want a whole group of 'em!

Yep, a colony based SPS goby -- We'll get you breeding little micro gobies in no time. As soon as one of your twigs grows another brand or two for them to hide in, at least :D

I'm partial to this colony of 'em hanging out on top of an SPS colony, perched facing the current

I hate to necropost, but I was looking at Bryaninops natans and this thread is one of the few mentions of it that isn't a science journal. Do you have names for the species posted here?
