Anybody murder corals?

I have this Kenya tree that is getting huge and just wondering if anybody kills over grown corals out and which method do you use to dispose them? I don’t have anybody to give them too nor do I have the time. It’s a nice looking coral but if I let it take course it’ll eventually take over my whole tank.

I cut it, net it out of the tank, and bag it up on a small bag I can tie off and throw it away. They get real smelly if you don't seal it up. I have been fortunate to find reefers to take my cuttings this year but I have definitely had years prior where there were no takers except the trash bin.

That’s what I fear is smelling that dead coral, probably gonna feel bad knowing it’s living too

Yeah, it's a last resort for me, but sometimes the local market is pretty saturated and I can't even give it away.

I mow down Xenia every week.

They go in the trash and then straight to the dumpster, to avoid any smells.

Put it in a few ziploc bags and in the freezer until trash day. Another trick is to take stinky stuff to the gas station and put it in garbage can at the pump, or the local McDonald's.

Hahaha I used to have Xenia and had to eliminate them all due to how scary fast they grew

I'm with reefster . LOL No really just cut it back, bag it up & put in the freezer till garbage pick up . I'm lucky cause my LFs will take them in trade for snail or such.

Real estate is premium in the tank....when a coral grows too big, it goes in my brother’s FOWLR...after some conditioning. Coral police alert. Lol
