Anyone ever changed pumps on a Deltec?

I have a Deltec AP701 skimmer and it's getting to be time for a new impeller soon. I could get an impeller for the Eheim or I could get one of the PSK1000 pumps with a needlewheel for about the same, maybe a little less. Has anyone tried this with a Deltec or other skimmer? Results? Thanks.

I've tossed a bubble blaster hy 2000 on a no name skimmer. Just went to the plumbing supply house and made it happen. I couldn't find a gen x impeller. But love my skimmer on my show tank.
