Anyone ever seen this wavemaker before?

It's intrigueing in how it operates. I am curious as to everyones thoughts about it. it would take up some space in the aquarium but it seems like an old product not sure if its even in production anymore. I have emailed the company already to see if they are even around.

Yes, it works just makes a ratcheting noise. A LFS here in Knoxville took one in trade and it is now sitting in the back "water room" on a shelf.
