Ive never seen one and wondered where they like to hang out? Rocks caves or swim mid tank? Any other info would also be appreciated.

I had one before, they do appreciate caves but will come out and swim in the open as well. Cool little fish :)

Aside of them freaking me out by swimming upside down. My LFS store guy has one. Great looking fish and definitely an eye catcher for a not so bad price. They like over hangs he said, but he was out and about when I was checking out a frag in the tank.

In the beginning they use caves more, but I had one for a number of years that was always in the front of the tank.

I have one now and this is basically my experience with him. He was out a lot until I added tankmates, then he kind of stayed hidden for a while, but now he's out and about again.

Mine hangs out mostly in a cave swimming upside down and only comes out at dinner times, but I do have a lot of fish with most of them larger than it.

I love my assessor - after he has settled in the colour is really nice, bright yellow and has some subtle green details to the fins. I have a Reefer 350 and the aquascape has a cave like structure and an over hang. He loves to go between the two, and can be seen most of the time. He can completely disappear and hide within the rock work if he wants to.

Very fast and acrobatic swimmer, swims upside down, side ways, loop to loop... Comes all the way out to join in with everyone else during feeding and holds his own against the wrasses and big clowns.
