Anyone have acros that grow smooth/dont form polyp cups?

I have a pc rainbow that doesnt look like its forming the cups you normally see on an acro, its just growing branches straight up that are covered in polyps almost like a monti looks its so odd.

It does have a couple cups but it mostly looks smooth. Anyone know what may cause weird growth like this?

Spongodes are closest but acros are stony polyps and wont be soft

Not really sure what you're trying to say to be honest, its 100% an acro haha im just confused because its growing oddly compared to other examples i see
Looks like spongodes

I think what he is trying to say is that it does not have distinctive coralites. The branches are smooth with polyps but you can’t see coralites.

Looking back at that pic, it's an excellent example. In the back, you can see many different types of growth. That pic is old, I can take a better one later.
