Yeah I hope I can find one from a local reefer. They should be plentiful now. Thing is is that I don't have much cash to spend on a new one and would rather trade for one. I may just have to bite the bullet and get another one from my LFS. Its hard to pay 60 bucks for one

Will be tough to find better prices than this for frags this size. I have always had great luck with Liveaquaria.

70 bucks? holy cow thats a lot. Maybe its because I am in a very diverse reef community but that is an arm and a leg for a red planet.

If you buy it from a fellow reefer in your area, you could definitely save money, but it sounds like you haven't had much luck with that. I checked 3 FL based LFS, and they are charging $50 - $55 for 1/2 -3/4 frags. I'd say $70 for a 1 1/2 inch is a good deal.

I got a brown out piece from a friend last week.....within a week I can see some green coming back. Really surprise how fast it's coloring up.

Just wait Peter - it is going to explode soon if it is encrusting that much.

Mine throws out a couple branches every three weeks or so.

People keep saying that, yet it isn't happening. Plenty of light and definitely plenty of flow.

I've had my RP for at least 6 months and it's grown, but definitely slower than some others. I have mine in the center of the tank a little above mid-level under my 150 watt MH 14k and my MP10 ES pointed right at it in my 24 gallon. It has awesome polyp extension and I noticed that before it started growing out it took a few months to encrust on the rock. It hasn't exploded yet, but I have noticed that it's branching more, since it encrusted. The color in that position is mostly Red with a hint of green base, but I think it looks good.

I have to say the rp is the most interesting piece In a very large
all sps tank on the other site I saw a pic of one the size of the steering wheel on my truck
and red as could be I have since become obsesed
got a frag small frag from a local reefer and a real Ora piece for $50
IMO well worth it

SDguy, What type of lighting do you have ?

Mine had a growth spurt at around 6 months old, frag to colony. Now I get a few branches here and there.

I had the same problem and I just bought another frag from a fellow reefer and that one has grown pretty good compare to my original one. The original one that I have just encrust like a monti.

This is a tabling acro right? I'm setting up a 225 and I wanted to do two islands, one for montis and one for tabling acros.
