Dang, nice.

I'm in the research phase still, I've never had even a freshwater tank before, so I'm studying as much as I can before I get started. I know someone selling a 55g saltwater setup fairly cheaply, so I'm thinking about picking that up and experimenting with it while I get used to managing the water chemistry. I'm a ways out from putting anything alive into a tank :]

What town are you in up there in the northwest corner? I used to live in Kent I love it up there. Also go up to Cornwall frequently

We’re in Colebrook, just about on the MA border. 800 people and no traffic lights, pretty much heaven for me. We went out to Cornwall a couple of weekends ago to hit Ellsworth Farms for cider and donuts, it’s so beautiful.

Beautiful area, especially right now.

I’m going to try to make a run to the Waterbury Aquarium store this week to check it out — i started cycling my first tank yesterday, and think I might be ready for the CUC next week.

It has some live rock from the previous owner, which I kept damp until I could get enough RODI water to fill it.

So now it's got the live rock and I've been adding fish flakes on a daily basis -- for small values of "daily," since it's only been yesterday and today.

Ammonia's up already. I don't trust any of the test strips that I got with this tank, so I went to Petco yesterday and bought some there (using the online price match -- ALWAYS look up the online price before you buy), but when I got home to box was empty except for the instructions... I’d like to be able to test the nitrites.

Doing more reading, next week sounds way early for the CUC.
