Came in on some gulf live rock. I’ve only ever seen these little feathery looking arms sticking out, never the whole body. Should I be concerned?

Definitely a filter feeder of some sort. Could be a cucumber. In general I would say they are harmless though.
Were you able to watch the video? for some reason it won’t play on my phone after i posted it so just wanna make sure others can see.

i have had a yellow sea cucumber years ago, and it ate in a similar way, almost like it’s catching food and then licking it off its “fingers” lol

Can’t see the video, but the picture was pretty clear. Folks will post their vids to YouTube and drop the link in. One day there will be an R2R app where video issues be gone (one day…)

Yeah, looks like it's probably a cuke to me - as long as you don't have anything that would actively harass it in the tank, it should probably be fine.
if it starves or dies for whatever reason do you think it’ll poison my tank? it’s only a 50 gallon AIO so i’m worried about the small volume

No. If it starves, it will shrink and shrivel away...

It's such a small one that even if it died from an injury, it wouldn't nuke the tank.

well that’s good news. the shriveling away is sad although better than nuking everything i guess lol

i dose live phytoplankton almost daily so let’s hope that keeps the little guy from starving. he’s pretty cool. i’m a big fan of all the random inverts like this that come on live rock. i have a clam/mussel thing too and it’s one of my favorite things in the tank even though it’s not much to look at lol
