loews and home depot do not have food grade plastic. you can try usplastic.com or a local garden center may carry something you can use

is there a reason you want a plastic sump? I think petco is still doing the $1 per gallon sale on everything from 10g-55g so a 20g long would be $20 or a 40g breeder for $40 and hold about the same or more than a plastic tote and for allot longer

why do you need food grade. the only difference is food grade cant allow oxygen to transfer into whatever you store in it, thus ruining the food inside.
i know this because i make wine and have to use either glass or food grade plastics for fermentation and even then only acidic foods will cause it to leech oxygen. just my opinion. i store and mix water in $6 tubs from the dollar store never had a problem. if you want strength try tsc or a farm supply of some kind
