Anyone remove the AIO chambers?

I picked up a innovative marine SR80 on trade and tbh I'm just not sold on AIO. I have a few smaller and it seems I'm always fighting something. One of my biggest drawbacks is equipment and cleaning.

Anyways I'm thinking of removing the chambers and making this a sweet 80 gallon lagoon with a 40 gallon breeder sump.

So my question is has anyone attempted this and if so how annoying was it?

I'm aware and it's no issue. I have a overflow box off an old 75g I can use.
