Are you controlling your Hydra’s through the Apex? If so, see my tutorial on setting up Lunar Schedules & Lighting Profiles instead of using the separate module:

I’m not, but I could, I do have that controller. I am not really looking for lunar. I wanted the white moonlight.

That’s what I describe in the tutorial. You create a lighting profile with white or white-ish light and schedule when you’d like it to turn on.

I use the LSM with 4 lights on a 6' 150 and I love them. Been running strong for almost a year now.

Do you stick them on you lights?

No. I bought some stainless steel moldable brackets from Lowes. I mounted the lights to the brackets which is mounted to my canopy. Super simple and cheap. Works like a champ. I will take some pictures when I get home.

Yup, been using a couple of LSM modules for years. I’ve tried using my main lights at low levels as a substitute, but always come back to the LSM. I did make a lights string for the LSM using white LEDs instead of the standard blues.... but ultimately decided I thought the blues looked more natural (I’m a diver).

When I used the LSM I stuck the leds to to the splash guard on my T5 fixture with a type of velcro. Worked just fine.
I used the 3 led string on a 3 ft tank and found it brighter than I would have liked.
