Mine fails constantly in the opposite direction! Won't turn off! Its a disaster!
I'll clean the eye and it goes great for a few weeks even months and then bam! 3-4 days in a row of over flowing!

Im using a TLF KW reactor 300.

Ill will add that since I moved it, it failed once 4 days after moving it, but hasn't failed since 17 days after. Still don't trust this thing completely though.

Its been better since I moved the KW reactor. Since the last post it failed twice maybe. Just got to wipe it clean often and you should be good. I deff would rather have it controlled by my controller though just for the fact that there are more redundancies ie. if the overfill is tripped I can have it shut off things like the skimmer and heater like when I feed and the return pump does not start up again.
