Hey, all. I live in Australia and want to buy a kessil ap700 from USA. These fixtures are around $1800 in Australia (~$1400 US), so you can see why I won't be buying local.
So the question...
Will one work with a simple plug adapter or would a step transformer be needed?
Thanks

Are u serious ? when you have easy access to the illumagic units in australia ? those are wayyyy better than any kessil or other US led currently out there IMO.

I am not sure what the voltage used in Australia is, but the AP700 power supply uses 100-240V 50/60Hz, so whatever the standard is there, you should be fine. The power supply itself has a standard female connector so that an adapter cable using the local wall plug form factor can be used to adapt to the local market (like a power cable from a PC).

It seems like most manufacturers are now using auto switching power supplies that are compatible with global standards.

Hi Cayc

Just wondering how you went with the Kessil?

I’m in Australia too and am wanting to purchase the ap 700.

Much nicer light than the illumagic IMO!!
