Apex display module to control when fusion out?

I am working with Neptune to remedy the issue of constant disconnects but waiting on a new sd card.
If I add a display module can I configure the apex to run like it does if connected to fusion? For example will my dos continue to dose on schedule?
As of now whenever I lose connection my dose turns off.
