Hi All

Wanted to share a small hack I performed tonight to the tablet I use as a standalone controller for fusion app (galaxy tab A8 10.5 in). In resent month I have gotten more into Apex programming which has naturally resulted in an increased number of virtual outlets i want to display. One of the biggest quirks with fusion as we all know is that it will only display up to 3 columns despite higher resolution displays that support room for a 4th or 5th column. Below are the steps i performed to achieve 5 columns. I will mention, i could have added a 6th but did not like how small the text was so dialed it back to 5. Also this will not apply to every model tablet but feel free to see if you models have similar features and apps

Steps
Notes - The process utilized Samsung's multitask view and can cause a switch to appear twice if you dont have enough to fill all the available space.

1) Create work profile - the multitask view will not let you run the same app in two different view with normal use, to get this to work you will need to setup a work profile to the device. I used the "Island" app in the google play store to do this. Once setup you will be able to switch over to the work profile and install a second copy of the fusion app

2) Hack the screen resolution - The native resolution of the galaxy tab A8 10.5 in is only 1920x1200 pixex which is not fine enough to support 5 columns for this you will need to increase it beyond device limits, i set mine to 2560x1600 via the "PIxels" App. please note this app will require a computer to perform an ADB command to the tablet. The app will present you with a Step by step setup if you try to update the resolution and have not performed the command. Once the resolution was set i then had to go to the factory display setting and increase the to zoom the highest level and then back to the lowest to get it to apply the modified resolution.

3) Start multitasking view - Start multitasking and open the "personal" fusion app and the "work" fusion app, adjust your switches and charts according

Bonus - As unrelated info I like to run the "Caffeine" app to keep my display on 24/7, power draw is so minimal. i also utilize the "Twilight" app to dim the brightness very low at night to not disturb the fish

Enjoy

So after playing around With the settings some more I was able to better achieve sixth columns with a pixel setting of 2700x1687 which does make it a lot easier to configure the tile place as you can just scroll one view to the top and the other to the bottom
