Ok, am I missing something? I’m pulling my hair out trying to calibrate the salinity probe that came with my apex. Stays in the dry your probe stage. Says it has settled but the range is not acceptable. Will not let me get past the dry probe stage. It’s fully dry, sat for 2 days, blew it out lightly etc. help?

Have you tried to manually calibrate it? If so and the problem persists, it's time to open a ticket with Neptune customer support. https://www.neptunesystems.com/support/contact-support/

Never be sorry, we are here to help. The salinity probe is a tricky and finicky piece of equipment. Took over a month and multiple calibrations before reading relatively accurately and stably.

I finally just figured it out as well lol.
I was sitting forever at 27.
I watched the videos and didn't realize it was supposed to be completely dry.
I dried it for a half hour and calibrated it, incl swirling to get rid of bubbles. Now it's been at 34.5 for the last half day. Pretty stoked as I figured I was going to a have incorrect salinity probe reading forever.

Have you tried to manually calibrate it?

Please explain? I’m not sure how one would calibrate it outside the apex.

The normal calibration process can be a pain, but if you follow the calibration task properly you can usually get it to work. I actually use tank water as calibration solution to normalize the reading.

Through Apex, there is an automatic and manual method for calibration. Manual calibration is under the 'Advanced" tab. Automatic is under the 'Basic" tab.
