i’m reading horrible reviews on this probe from apex?

is this just a case of there are many people out there happy with it and don’t do reviews, or is this just a bad probe?

what are my other options?

I have a couple, they work fine for me. They can be a pain to calibrate properly. They are subject to interference from strong electrical currents near the probe wires (like from a heater cord). If you keep it somewhere that microbubbles are often found, like near a skimmer, they can accumulate those bubbles in the tip and this also throws off readings. Still, mine vary no more than 1 ppt throughout the day and night, usually much less.

Apex logged into mine today to try and see why I couldn't calibrate the probe. They couldn't calibrate it either. They think it is the head unit. They are sending me a new one. My Apex is two weeks old. I can't get the PMK to work either. It's been hooked up for a couple hours and it is reading a whopping 5/6. Hopefully I will have better luck when I get a replacement.

hmmm, my ph probe is way off from my red sea ph test, wonder if there is a break in period on these probes
