Hey all I just set my apex up and have my probes in. I calibrated the probe and everything. At time of setup salinity was 27 ppt. I got my hanna checker and it read 32. Well now 4 hrs later apex says 23 ppt. Hanna still says 32. What's going on with apex probes? Why so off and why going down

The most common cause is air bubbles trapped in the probe. Try fully submerging the probe, then tip it upside down under water and tap it gently. You'll probably see some air escape.

Like @SuncrestReef said, air bubbles can cause the probe to give false readings. Also if when you put the probe in the calibration solution it might of read wrong becuase of the air trapped inside. You have calibrate the probe at an angle and shake it so the air can escape.
