I just ordered the Apex and after reading the 160 plus page setup manual online my head is spinning. My computer skills are sorely lacking and need advice on initial setup. I have a nuvo 16g in my office next to my laptop and my router is in the basement. I do have an internet outlet right behind the desk the tank is on and also wifi with verizon. Can I plug the apex into the wall outlet for setup or do I need to take the laptop and apex down to the basement and plug it in the router? If I need to plug into the router how do I download firmware updates in the future? I know Apex recommends that it is hardwired for setup and future updates so I was hoping I could keep it hardwired to the wall but not sure if this will work. Thanks for any advice you can give me.
