A magnetic frag rack may be good for you since these frag tables take up valuable real estate in your tank. This way you can elevate your frags above your other corals, which keeps them from getting stung. Most LFS (in my area at least) carry reefroids in stock so it’s probably worthwhile to at least call them to see if they have any in stock. :) your tank is lookin great!

Pencil Urchin is doing a great job of eating the turf algae.

Finally getting a sustained Po4 reading. Turf algae is almost all gone. Most of the coral are doing well. FTS

Ricordias are really loving the nutrients in the water.

Thank you Footgal! I think they are getting medium light. There is another shroom that isn’t visible from the front. It’s shaded by an over hang and stretches some to get more light. The big mother has slowly moved out and towards the front from the shade to get more light. Every time she moves, leaves a new baby!
My secret!? Right now it’s dosing NeoPhos! Corals were starving apparently.

A million times better than a couple months ago!! I hope you’re really proud of it now, I definitely would be! You have any plans for the future now or are you just enjoying watching what you have grow?

Looking better! Good to see that the algae is being controlled so well by the urchin,
Thank you Nano! Yeah that urchin took care of the algae real well. I actually re homed it the other day. Didn’t want to watch it starve. The urchin also likes to eat coralline and sponges. Dislocated some Xenia from the rocks and was getting kinda pushy with other coral to get at the coralline.
Also want to see if the algae stays mostly gone. Snails and hermits will hopefully keep it in check.

Future plans? I think for now just let things grow and keep the balance I’m working on.

I added a new fish. Starry Blenny, have always wanted one. Poor Clownfish been living alone for awhile. So far they get along.

Great fish! Not sure how fast they grow, but max seems to be around 5". Should mow down most alga and then would need some supplemental food like nori and/or macro algae.

Good luck with him/her!

Thank you! Wow 5 inches?! Hopefully he/she won’t grow to fast. Blenny likes mysis and brine too.

footgal, I took your advice and found a magnetic frag rack. Now hopefully I can properly acclimate coral from the bottom.

This no name Cyphastrea is encrusting the plug again. I’ve tried moving it before and it receded. I moved it up about 5in and I think it was to much. It’s been sitting on the frag table I made and is recovering nicely. The spot I’m thinking of glueing it down at is about 1-2 inches higher than where it is now. Proper light acclimation has been a learning curve. Still learning!! ;)

@SMSREEF hey thanks for stopping by!
The clown was kinda surprised the first day during feeding time. Clown was not used to another fish going after the food too! No aggression, I think they will get along.

Gotta say I’m my worst critic. compared to where my tank was at, at the beginning of this year, I’m happy with how things are going.

Lost the Birdsnest and monti digi sps frags. Birdsnest was pushed on top of the mushrooms. Mushrooms won. That’s why I built the frag table and bought a magnetic frag rack.

Not sure about the monti. One day the polyps stayed closed and never reopened then it turned brown.

Soft coral are doing well. This Kenya tree? Not sure. Might be a colt coral, is filling in nicely.
